How do you cook lobster?

Do you have to have a pressure cooker? I don't have oneHow do you cook lobster?
Your best bet is to boil it while still alive in salted water for around 10 minutes, until the shell go's completely red. Then to split place the tip of a sharp knive on the centre line near the top of the shell and give it a huge wallop and cut through. How do you cook lobster?
the best way is to steam it (if you boil it a lot of the flavor will stay in the water) fill your pot with about 1 to 2 inches of water with LOTS of salt (if you can buy them with the sea water that's the best) then when its boiling put in the lobster head first and let it cook for 8 min. per pound (so if its 1 1/2 pounds .. 12 min.) and you can have more than one lobster in the pot at the same time just as long as they all fit comfortably... if you have to cram them in they will not cook well....... bon appetit!!! yummy lobster.. :)
There are many ways to cook lobster. Boiled, steamed, grilled, etc. You don't really need a pressure cooker. As long as you have a grill or a big pot (big enough to fit the lobster whole), you'll be good to go.

To boil a lobster, drop it into rapidly boiling water and boil until it floats. It doesn't take long, maybe 7 or 8 minutes, so keep an eye on it. If you overcook it it will not taste as good, and it may be tougher.

I also like to poach a lobster in rapidly boiling water for about 45 seconds. Chill it, and then you can remove the raw meat from the shell and use it for sushi or sashimi.
in cooking school we split them (live) and broiled them (BBQ) over the flame flesh side down until the tail curls a bit...
Boil a pot of water, stick the loster in, then when it looks like its cooked, eat it.
When I can afford one...I steam it in a regular pot with salt, bay leaf and lemon slices. Same as for fresh shrimp.
no just boil it until it turns bright red
Steam it
