How do you cook a 1.25 pound lobster tail?

I need to cook a 1.25 pound lobster tail. I would prefer to broil it, but its very large. Im getting so many different answers via the internet. Some say broil for 15 mins due to size, others say boil then broil....HELP ME!!!How do you cook a 1.25 pound lobster tail?
If you broil or grill a lobster tail, it may turn out tough if not removed at the precise time.

For a whole lobster, I suggest boiling it for 15mins--it will taste like butter.

If a lobster tail only, place water below the line of a steamer basket and steam it for 12 mins

Have your broiler on so that at the end of 12 mins, you baste the split tail, and broil for no more than 2 mins.

Good luckHow do you cook a 1.25 pound lobster tail?
First cut the underside of the lobster if its whole and remove the roe( this can be used for a sauce or garnish) thenboil in water or stock till shell turns bright red.
split lengthwise and then broil or grill it.
Mine would be 2.25 pounds after the pound of vomit that came up when I realized I was trying to eat a lobster........
